Mobile service from Puerto de la Cruz — booked by text

Lost your car key in Adeje — or anywhere in the south of the island?

At Otypro in Tenerife, I’m Olexy — a mobile auto locksmith serving Adeje and the south of the island. I come to your vehicle to cut and program keys on the spot. Travel is typically free in Puerto de la Cruz, a distance charge beyond it. Car lockout from €56. All-keys-lost starts at €200 for most transponder and remote-head keys, or from €200 for a push-to-start smart key. A second key made the same visit costs less than coming back for it later, named in the written quote.

The drive north, honestly

Puerto de la Cruz to Adeje — and how far along the south coast I'll go.

I drive from Puerto de la Cruz with the equipment needed to work at your car in Adeje and the south. Send me your location and I will confirm the route, arrival time and travel charge in writing.

Where the equipment and I start from. In the metro area the drive is typically free; south of it a distance travel charge applies, sized by distance and named in your quote first.

Candelaria & Güímar

Arrival confirmed by text

Along the east coast, right on the way down the TF-1. A key job at a beach car park, by the basilica square, or in a seafront driveway here is about as easy as an out-of-town run gets.

Adeje

Arrival confirmed by text

The main reason I built this page. Lost keys at a hotel car park in Costa Adeje, a spare cut in a driveway in Adeje town, a fob that quit at the shopping centre — the south is a big part of what I cover outside the city, and people here already find me.

Los Cristianos · El Médano · Los Gigantes

Plan ahead · TF-1 / TF-47

The wider south — Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas next door, El Médano by the South airport, Los Gigantes up the west coast on the TF-47. All real runs, just farther: planned-ahead trips, quoted first. Text the town and I'll tell you straight whether it's worth the wait.

Somewhere else in the south — San Miguel, Granadilla, Guía de Isora? Text the location anyway. The honest worst case is me telling you it's too far and pointing you somewhere nearer.

Why people text me from up here

Can you do the whole job in my driveway?

Adeje and the south have plenty of lock shops that handle houses and businesses — but the chip inside a modern car key is a different job, and the nearest dealer for your make can be a tow and a wait away. The trip that makes sense is the one where I arrive with the cutting and programming kit and you drive away — most often a full set of lost keys rebuilt from scratch.

Everything that travels for a Tenerife call travels up here too: a spare key cut and programmed before you need it, fob programming for a remote that died, a key cut by decoding the lock when there's no original left, or a plain car lockout when the keys are sitting on the seat. Same skills, same dealer-level access, just a longer driveway to reach.

The boundary that doesn't move with the distance: automotive only. I don't do house doors, apartment locks, padlocks, or safes — not in Santa Cruz, not in Adeje. If the lock isn't on a vehicle, I'll send you to someone who does buildings rather than fake it.

To quote an Adeje / south-coast trip

  • ✓Year / make / model + what's wrong, by text
  • ✓Where the car sits — town, address, or lot
  • ✓A photo of the VIN and your key, if you still have one
  • ✓Written quote back — the work plus any travel, in one number
  • ✓Photo ID + ownership proof at the car, then I start
  • ✓You pay when the key works — after the job, never a deposit before the drive. If an out-of-town trip can't be completed, that travel charge is what you owe, not the full job price.

Not sure why the VIN helps? Here's what it does and doesn't reveal.

What it costs up here

City prices for the work, honest math for the drive.

The key work itself costs the same as it does in Tenerife — the pricing-page floors don't change because the car is in Adeje. What's added for an out-of-town run is travel — and, if the work lands between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m., a flat €50 night callout fee on top of the job's regular starting price. Both are written into the quote before I commit to driving.

The work — same as the city

  • Lost all keys — transponder / remote-headfrom €200
  • Lost all keys — push-to-start smart keyfrom €200
  • Spare / extra key — transponderfrom €60
  • Remote head / flip keyfrom €120
  • Proximity smart keyfrom €200
  • Key fob programmingfrom €60
  • Car lockout (keys locked inside)from €56

What gets added

Puerto de la Cruz — usually free

Across Tenerife, the price is the job, not the drive — travel is typically built into the standard price.

Outside the metro area — distance

€0.50 per km outside Puerto de la Cruz, already in the written quote.

After 9 p.m. — a flat fee

I work 24/7, every day. If the work lands between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m., a flat €50 night callout fee is added on top of the job's regular starting price — named in the same written quote. If it can wait until morning, I'll book you at the regular price instead and say so.

Plus applicable tax

Tax is added to the total and itemized on your receipt. Every cost is in the written quote first.

The number you agree to by text is the number you pay. If you'd rather not send the VIN before booking, that's fine — the quote just comes back as a small range until I see the car.

A registered business — not a van and a guess.

Anyone can buy a key cutter and drive down the motorway. So before you let someone near your car, it’s worth knowing who they are. I make that easy: I’m a registered business in Spain — ask for the details before you ever let me start.

Beyond the paperwork, the things that actually protect you: commercial general liability insurance, dealer-level access to manufacturer key and immobilizer data, and a firm rule that I check photo ID against proof of ownership before I cut a single key. More about who I am, and how to spot a locksmith you shouldn’t trust.

Adeje & south-coast questions, answered straight.

The out-of-town ones I actually get. General service questions live on the full FAQ page.

Do you actually drive down to Adeje?

Yes. I serve Adeje from my base in Puerto de la Cruz. Send your vehicle details, the problem and your location; I will confirm availability, arrival time and the full quote before leaving.

I lost my only key in Adeje or down at Los Cristianos — can you still make one?

Yes, that's the core of what I do. With no key to copy, I decode the locks at the vehicle, cut a fresh key to that code, and program it to your car through dealer-level access — the same information a dealership would use — so the car starts and locks again. It happens right where the car is parked: a driveway, a beach car park in Los Cristianos, a hotel garage in Costa Adeje. I need government photo ID and proof you own the vehicle before I cut anything.

How much does it cost compared to Tenerife, and is there a travel charge?

Same city floors either way: lockout from €56, spare key from €60 — the same pricing page numbers whether the car's in Santa Cruz or Adeje. All-keys-lost starts at €200 for most transponder and remote-head keys, or from €200 for a push-to-start smart key. A second key made the same visit costs less than coming back for it later — I put that number in your written quote. What's added out here is travel: €0.50 per km outside Puerto de la Cruz, already itemised in the written quote before I ever drive. If the work lands between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m., a flat €50 night callout fee is added on top of the job's regular starting price — named in that same written quote.

Do you cover the whole south — Los Cristianos, El Médano, Los Gigantes?

Case-by-case, around where my day already sits. Adeje and Los Cristianos are the easy ones — practically a straight run down the TF-1. El Médano, Granadilla and Los Gigantes are planned-ahead trips, so text early and I'll tell you straight whether today works or tomorrow morning is realistic. When it's a go, the distance travel charge is already in the written number.

Are you a real registered business, or just driving down from the city?

Registered, and you can ask to see it before I start. Otypro is a registered business in Spain. On top of the paperwork: dealer-level access to manufacturer key and immobiliser data, commercial general liability insurance, and a firm rule that I check photo ID against proof of ownership before I cut a single key. Those are the things that actually protect you.

Do you do house lockouts, apartments, or padlocks in Adeje?

No — automotive only, everywhere I go. No house or apartment doors, no padlocks, no garage locks, no safes, in Santa Cruz or down in the south. It's the same boundary I keep in the city: if it isn't a car key or a car lockout, it's not my call, and I'll point you to someone who handles building locks rather than pretend it is.

Stuck in Adeje? Let's get a plan, not a panic.

Text me the vehicle and where it's sitting — Adeje, Los Cristianos, Playa de las Américas, anywhere in the south. You'll get an honest window and a written number — the work plus any travel — before I turn the key in my own van.
