The process
How I work — from your text to a working key.
Otypro is one person — me, Olexy, a mobile auto locksmith in Tenerife. You text your year, make, model and where the car sits; I text back a written quote, drive to the car, verify ownership, and cut and program on-site. You pay after the key works.

- Text first — year, make, model + where the car is: +34 747 733 779
- Written quote before I dispatch
- I come to the vehicle — no tow, no shop visit
- ID + ownership checked on every key job, every time
- Pay after it works — the one exception is a €30 service-call fee when a hidden vehicle-side fault blocks the job — or if the job is cancelled after I'm on the road, or no one's there when I arrive
- Every day, 24/7
Running a lot, a shop or a yard? Same rules, different rhythm — here's how I work with businesses.
Step by step
What happens when you text me
Six steps, no call centre, no dispatcher — the person who reads your text is the person at your car. Here is the whole job, in order.
-
Step 1
Text me what you've got.
Year, make, model, and where the car is parked. A photo of your key if you still have one — and the VIN if it's handy — turns a close estimate into an exact number. Why I ask for the VIN and a key photo.
-
Step 2
Get the number in writing.
I text back a written quote before I drive anywhere. If the vehicle or key turns out different from what you told me, I show you the corrected number first, and you decide whether to go ahead. Starting prices are public on the pricing page.
-
Step 3
I drive to the car.
Home, work, a car park — the job happens where the car sits, so there's no tow and no workshop visit. I cover all of Tenerife, with free travel in Puerto de la Cruz, and the rest of the island by arrangement at €0.50/km outside Puerto de la Cruz, always in the written quote first. Details on the service-area page.
-
Step 4
I check ID and ownership.
Government photo ID matched to proof of ownership — your vehicle registration, or proof of insurance in your name — before anything is cut or programmed. The ID stays with you, so that part's easy. This check is a feature, not a hurdle: it's what keeps a stranger from ordering a key to your car. Here's the full ownership-verification process.
-
Step 5
I cut and program at the vehicle.
Everything happens at the car: the key is cut, programmed to the vehicle, and tested in front of you — doors, locks, start. I have dealer-level access for most makes on the road, so newer vehicles are a normal visit here, not a referral. Not sure about yours? Text me to confirm your make.
-
Step 6
You pay after the key works.
The key cuts, programs, starts the car and works the locks — then payment: Bizum, card on a portable terminal, or cash, receipt every time. The one exception: if the car can't be serviced because of a vehicle-side fault nobody could see coming, the job is cancelled after I'm on the road, or no one's there when I arrive, a €30 service-call fee covers the trip and diagnosis — never the full job price. Every key I supply carries a 12-month warranty.
Hours
When I work
I work 24/7, every day of the year, and the price is the price: no weekend rate, no holiday rate, no rush rate. Between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. there's one addition — a flat €50 night callout fee on top of the job's regular starting price. If it can wait until morning, I'll book you at the regular price instead and say so.
Questions about any step?
The FAQ page answers the common ones — quoting, ID, timing, payment, warranty. Or skip the reading: text me your year, make, model and where the car is, and the process starts with a written quote.
That’s the whole process. If you’re ready: see the full price list, or go straight to lost all my keys / locked out.
